I got this from www.statisticbrain.com and Id ask some of these numbers in a job interview 😉 so take a note girls. The most impressive stats for me was the $ 250 B spent per year in the US.
NOTE: Although the studies are referred to the University of Delaware, I found it curiously wrong that the annual revenue of the industry is less than a tenth of American spent on fashion, these numbers don’t make sense to me. At all. They must have different sources.
|Number of Fashion Designer Jobs Held in 2006||20,000|
|Median Annual Earnings for salaried fashion Designers||$62,610|
|Number of people employed in the fashion industry||4 Million|
|Amount spent on fashion in the U.S. each year||$250 Billion|
|Annual fashion industry revenue||$20 Billion|
